Description: "Do you remember those underground parties? That's what sternum is all about. The point of the night where it all comes together, the reason you came in the first place. Do you remember walking down the stairs and a hundred thousand watts of bass and deep tones slamming forth from the sound system while strobes flashed? Remember intellibeams scanning the scene like psychotic searchlights? Remember that record which the DJ would slip in and tear the roof off? Remember the grin on your face when you heard that rhythmic wave hit you like a tidal wave to the chest? Sternum is a freight train full of energy that doesn't hesitate to take you right back to those moments".
The concept of this mix is great...because I do remember those parties and the feeling I got when the DJ dropped those hard, pounding, sik, tracks with the swingin-bass lines.
Unfortunately, this mix is an average attempt of re-creating that experience. There were maybe 2 tracks on here that peaked my interest in the beginning/middle, but beyond that the play-list is forgettable.
Thought the technical skills displayed here were spot-on. Smooth transitions and good flow. Fine-tuning the track selection to include more intelligent and emotional tracks is what is needed now.
A good attempt...but there is room for improvement.
